It has finally arrived! My copy of the newly released J.R.R. Tolkien translation of the epic poem Beowulf. As a huge fan of both the poem and the author this is particularly exciting to me. Though I think the Seamus Heaney translation is going to be tough to top. I ordered a copy from Powell's Books and was surprised how quickly it arrived.
I'm going to settle down with a cup of echinacea tea (I'm getting over a terrible cold) and a couple of french fancy cakes and have a nice long read.
