Stolen Rose

An illustration of an old English folktale about why owls are nocturnal. The owl stole a rose, which was meant to be a prize awarded for beauty, and as punishment was banished by the other birds to only venture out at night.

I finally had a chance to finish this painting that I've been working on for a while. I've been visiting family in the states and it's been quite hectic, but good to see everyone. Have a few more people to see before I head back to the UK.
