I had a little time in between commissions this week to work on a new piece. I have been reveling in the fact that the sun never truly sets here this time of year. As a night owl, I'm thrilled that I can go on midnight hikes and stay up until 5am working on paintings in the twilight. The other wonderful little treat is that the songbirds here keep up their twitterings all through the night. It feels gloriously decadent to fall asleep, every night to the sounds of waterfalls and songbirds.
